The ultimate Christmas drinking games

If Christmas isn't a good enough excuse for getting a little bit boozy, then we don't know what is! We all love a drink at any time of the year, but it's pretty much tradition to over-indulge over the Christmas period. At this time of year everything become a bit more festive, and at Stag HQ that includes our boozy antics! So, to help make your Christmas a little bit merrier, here are some of our favourite Christmas drinking games!

The Santa Hat Game

This new festive Christmas game has been taking the internet by storm this year, so it felt only right to start our list with this. Originally created by Redditor zeezromnomnom and given a new twist by Ross from Graphitas, the game is incredibly simple. All you need to do is put a Santa hat on the corner of your TV and drink every time it looks like someone is wearing the hat.

The 12 drinks of Christmas

'On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a dirty stinking hangover!' Our next Christmas game turns this famous festive tune on its head! Line up 12 different shots for everyone playing the game and assign each shot to a different part of the Christmas song. Then, play the song and take each shot in time with the song and wait for the room to start spinning!

Drinking Home Alone

Christmas just isn't Christmas without watching Home Alone, so why not kill two birds with one stone and get hammered while watching it? For this game everyone who is watching the film needs a drink of their choice, then take a big swig every time one of the following things happens:

  • Someone insults or threatens Kevin
  • Someone speaks or attempts to speak French
  • Someone says pizza, Paris, or polka
  • Harry or Marv get hurt
  • Kevin screams, talks to himself, or insults someone
  • Buzz's tarantula makes an appearance
  • Someone watching the film says a line or dialogue word for word and gets it right

And don't worry about the hangover, you can worry about that tomorrow!
